Volunteers Make A Difference!

VNA of Care New England volunteers are very special people who play an important role in our program.  Volunteers are always welcome and we offer a variety of opportunities to meet your needs.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Hospice Helpers - provide companionship and support to patients facing end of life illnesses. Hospice Helpers can be a listener: share a cup of coffee, hearing their story, playing cards, lending a helping hand, just sitting quietly or reading a book out loud.  Hospice Bereavement Helpers can provide support to families - calling on families to explore how they are doing after the loss of a loved one.   Sometimes just having the quiet understanding that a volunteer brings can be the greatest gift for a patient and their family.

Office Volunteers/Hospice Office Volunteers - Providing office and clerical support services for departments and teams throughout the organization, Administrative Volunteers assist by preparing packets and support materials for mailings, helping with printing and duplication services, filing, and making phone calls.

The Memory Keeper - Do you have photography or video talent and wish to share your skills?  What a great opportunity for you to utilize your talent while helping to establish a photo/media library or to help in development of a Life Review Program for the VNA of Care New England.

Special Services: You may even have special skills, such as in knitting, massage therapy, or cooking talent that you would like to offer to the Hospice Program to help patients in our care.

Events – Help with planning details and provide support for various community events/fundraising events.
