| Nancy Roberts Receives Recognition for Community Education Involvement |

On May 21, 2009, at the Community College of Rhode Island’s Changing Lives Celebration, Nancy Roberts, President and Chief Executive Officer of VNA of Care New England received the 2009 Education Champion Award.
The evening was a celebration of the people behind CCRI's successes in changing lives, and a celebration of selected community leaders who partner with CCRI to achieve the dreams of its students. Ray Di Pasquale, CCRI President, said of Ms. Roberts, “We chose Nancy to receive the Education Champion award because she has been a tireless advocate who has worked on many educational programs to impact the future nursing supply for Rhode Island. She has been an ardent supporter of these multiple initiatives and has significantly changed the lives of many of our students through her efforts.” Mayor of Providence, David Cicilline presented her with a proclamation from the City acknowledging her achievements and CCRI Foundation President, Mark K.W. Gim shared in congratulating her at the podium. |
